Mom’s Event: All You Need to Know about Homeschooling to Get You Started

Are you up in the air for what to do for your children’s schooling this year?

Mom friends who would like to explore homeschooling and ask questions about how homeschooling works in Minnesota, I have a fun event planned for you!

Many of you know that I homeschool our girls, write and edit curriculum, and offer tutoring and annual Peabody testing. I have been involved in homeschooling children since 2003, and I have met some of the most genuine, kind, and successful kids during that time. No matter what the MN Dept. of Ed. ends up recommending for the upcoming school year, it will definitely not be “back to normal.”

This will be a time of Q&A. We will cover the following topics:

• Getting started
• Minnesota laws
• Styles and curriculum
• Schedule and organization
• Homeschooling while working
• Teaching multiple children
• Teaching littles
• Teaching special needs
• Support and community
• Online resources
• Good and Beautiful Books

Attendees will receive:

Current Event Dates: (with the possibility of an August date)

• Saturday, July 25 at 3:00 pm in person Zoom
• Wednesday, July 29 at 6:30 pm in person
• Thursday, July 30 at 8:00 online Zoom meeting

In person events are in my backyard in Lakeville. You will receive a confirmation email the week of the event with my address and login information for Zoom.
